Morley Campus
Like the other campuses, Chung Wah Chinese School Morley believes that learning Chinese is not solely about learning the language but also the culture. It organises a variety of Chinese cultural events throughout the year.
For example, in celebrating Chinese New Year, Morley campus organises a ‘new year dumpling making’ activity. Prior to the activity, teachers explain the symbolic meaning of ‘dumpling’ and students have the opportunity to experience dumpling making with teacher’s demonstration and taste handmade dumplings afterwards. Lion dance performances add to the excitement of Chinese New Year festivities at the campus.
In order to promote Chinese culture, Morley campus also organises a variety of competitions each year such as calligraphy, Chinese speeches, poetry reading and others to generate students’ learning interests and help to promote the standards and quality of Chinese education (Mandarin) being offered to the community.
